With that kind of punishment, steroid use among athletes is definitely an illegal and serious act.

In the case of doctor’s prescription, steroid use is legal. However, during competitions such as Olympics or other events, steroid use is definitely illegal. This declaration on the legalities of steroids applies to almost all countries. In the U.S., several federal laws govern steroid use considering it illegal including Australia and the United Kingdom. In contrast, laws for personal use of anabolic steroids differ in some countries and within their districts.
